Playing in the finals of the All Saints Thanksgiving CYO Tournament, OLR was facing a tall order in a match-up with St. Lawrence O'Toole. The team started slowly falling behind 7-0 in the opening minutes before Tyler nailed his first shot of the game to get OLR ion the board. Still, the team would battle, but still trail at the break 15-7. Tyler started the second half with a great baseline move to cut the deficit to 15-9, but that's as close as the team would get before losing 34-24. With the defeat, OLR falls to 5-4 on the season and claims a second, second-place tournament finish. Tyler had a tough shooting night, finishing with only four points, but still played well overall on both ends of the floor.

In the semi-finals of the All Saints Thanksgiving CYO Tournament, OLR battered ST. Clement by a 39-10 margin. Tyler shined with 8 points in what proved to be an easy win. Here are some of his highlights.

OLR 34, ST. JOHN'S 19
OLR opened the All Saints Thanksgiving CYO tournament with a match-up against St. John's of San Leandro. Starting quickly, OLR raced to 8-0 lead in the first three minutes of play and opened a 22-8 halftime advantage. In the second half, St. John's battled back to close the gap to 26-19. Then Tyler exploded for three baskets on the next four possessions and OLR opened the lead back up to 34-19. For the game, Tyler finished with 8 points on 4 of 8 shooting, and added 7 boards. With the win, OLR breaks a two-game losing streak and moves to 4-3 on the year. Next up is a semi-final match-up with St. Clement of Hayward.

ST. EDWARDS 42, OLR 28
OLR faced the powerful OLR Spartans and fell by a 42-28 margin. However, the game was closely contested for the first three quarters as OLR got a strong effort from the Thunder trio of Tyler Lynch, Ryan Tang, and Jordan Aguana who scored 23 of the Warriors' 28 points. Tyler played a very effective game as he scored 8 points on 4 of 8 shooting and collected 8 rebounds. He also hit two long-range jumpers that would have been three pointers. Tyler continues his stretch as the team leader of OLR and the leading scorer on the young season.

ST. JOES 26, OLR 15
OLR dropped a disappointing game to St. Joes by a score of 26-15. Despite the awful performance, Tyler shined. Though he only scored 4 points on 2 of 5 shooting, Tyler collected 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 blocked shots. With the loss OLR falls to 1-1 in league play and 3-2 overall.

OLR 29, OLG 7
Tyler enjoyed a nice debut performance in his regular season opener for the OLG Warriors as they cruised to an easy 29-7 win over the OLG Saints. Tyler led all Warrior scorers with 8 points, and also added 12 boards and 4 blocked shots. It was an efficient performance as he knocked down four of his six shots and played an all-around strong game. With the win, OLR moves to 1-0 in league play and 3-1 overall.

TYLER STARTS THE 2011-2012 CYO SEASON
Tyler Lynch started the 2011-2012 CYO basketball season on a successful note, leading the OLR Warriors to a second place finish in the Hayward High Preseason Tournament. In game 1, Tyler led an 11-0 run that broke open a tight game and led all scorers with 9 points en route to a 31-17 win over St. Bedes. In game 2, Tyler had 6 points and 14 rebounds as OLR smashed Corpus Christi of Piedmont by a 39-10 margin. Playing in the tournament finals against St. Felicitas, OLR fell short of a championship by dropping a 36-30 decision. Tyler again led all OLR scorers with 8 points. Overall it was a tremendous start for the OLR Warriors.
